A VERY ABRIDGED PROFILE OF HON.GREG IKECHUKWU OBI...(ANAMBRA STATE-HONOURABLE COMMISSIONER FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT & CHIEFTANCY MATTERS)

Greg Ikechukwu Obi

Greg was born into the family of Late Chief Emmanuel Osuafor Obi and Late Madam Martha Obi as the seventh in a family of exceptionally nine briliant children.These nine children captured from their parents world class brilliance,exemplary wisdom,unwavering pursuit of well-articulated focus and on unmitigated ambition to excel in whatever field they forward themselves in.
Greg gave on edifying testimony of the above talents and inheritance.His primary education saw him through St Stephen's and St.Peter Claver Primary School Utuh.At the end of his primary school Career,he bowed out with DISTINCTION.Coming from a father who could be called "NNA OYIBO" in Utuh and who was an active player in facilitating the entrenchment of the catholic faith in Utuh,Gregs logical transition was into the All Hallows' Seminary in Onitsha.He left the Seminary for Christ the King College(CKC) where he set a landmark,Indelible and yet to be achieved reward of Nine as in his school Certificate Examination.Little did Greg realize that CKC was laying the foundation for on association with two hardboiled gentlemen who would take the giant Stride of charting the trend and direction of development of Anambra state from 2003 to Date.

From CKC Greg Proceeded to the University of Lagos and enrolled into th Department of Finance Mid-Wifed by Proffessor Nwankwo the finance Guru.
Here again he re-enacted the Feat of his Primary and Secondary Schools by achieving a First Class Honours Degree in Finance.This gave him expected admission into the Columbia University,New York,one of the Top 10 Ivy League University in the USA.Expectedly,through a stoic application to what he has known best to do,he took on MBA degree with a major in Finance.
The academic tutelage and formation over,he launched out to the world of work.Naturally given his pedigree,he went to lecture in Department of Finance UNILAG where he created a record from 1979-1980.Not at home with a talk shop,he left the university to practice what he learnt and Taught,the banking world.With over Two decades of banking career in various banks,including the CHASE MERCHANT BANK and CONTINENTAL MERCHANT BANK,he became at a relatively young age of 38 Nigeria's Youngest Managing Director of a bank.

Greg I.Obi's ship has berthed at the Shore of Politics having to Become the Chancellor of the Exchequer of Anambra state and Currently The Anambra State  Hon.Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy Matters  by the Grace of God and Magnanimity of Chief Dr.Willie Obiano,The Executive Governor of Anambra Sate.
