We,Ezinifite town in nnewi south local govt area of Anambra state need your assistance in the area of road construction,erosion control and Construction of new Ulasi river bridge that links our town Ezinifite/Anambra state to Imo state through Orsu / Orlu local govt areas of Imo state.
(1)Our town Ezinifite shares a common boundary with a town in ihiala local govt area known as Lilu town but whenever we(Ezinifite people )wants to travel to ihiala town due to the bad state of d road that links Ezinifite to ihiala through Lilu town we always gets to Nnewi and join the nnewi/ihiala road before we will get to ihiala town which could have taken us from Ezinifite central area just less than fifteen minutes to get to ihiala town if d road that links us to ihiala town through Lilu town were good but due to d bad state of d road we end up spending close to 1hour 30 minutes before we will get to ihiala town.
For the records,Anambra state government has tarred from ihiala/orsumoghu up to Lilu town and what remains is to join Lilu town to Ezinifite town through Ulasi river and that we enhance easier/free movement of Anambra people through that important link road.It will also enhance free movement of commerce between towns in nnewi south local govt area and towns in ihiala local govt area.
The distance from Ezinifite central area to Lilu end of their tarred road is less than 3 kilometers,while it will only take just few seconds to cross the ulasi river bridge that demarcates Ezinifite and Lilu.
(2)Our town Ezinifite is the only town in Anambra state that shares a motorable boundary with Orsu local govt area and Orlu local local area of Imo state but due to the bad state of Ulasi river old colonial bridge that links/demarcates Ezinifite/Anambra state to these two local govt areas(Orsu/Orlu local govt areas)in Imo state then travelling to Orlu town and Owerri town becomes a mission impossible.
Most often the Ulasi river will overflow and cover the old colonial bridge and we(Anambra state citizens) will be cut off from our neighbouring state(Imo state)
The old colonial ulasi river bridge been an old bridge is so weak which makes it a death trap for us/Anambra state citizens that has no option than to use the bridge whenever we want to travel to Orlu or Owerri and for those who doesn't want to take the risk of passing through the old colonial ulasi river bridge they will first get to nnewi and then link d nnewi/ihiala express road before getting to Orlu town or Owerri town and at the end of the day Anambra citizens travelling through Ezinifite to Orlu town will use 2 hours and Owerri 2 hours 30 minutes as against less than fifteen minutes to Orlu town and 45 to Owerri if the Ulasi river bridge is in a good/solid state.
Construction of new ulasi river bridge will enhance free flow of commerce between Anambra state and Imo state because it takes less than 15 minutes to get to Orlu town from Ezinifite.It also takes 45 minutes to get to Owerri town from Ezinifite town.
(3)We also have some erosion challenges in our town and these erosion are a threat to the continued existence of our town Ezinifite.
